Is there a "Copy From Sales Order" equivalent for ...

Is there a "Copy From Sales Order" equivalent for Assembly Items? i.e. We throw in a random sample/gift into some products we make. Occasionally, the person entering the order wants to say "Add this specific thing to this product when we make it" But if they add this to the description on the Sales Order, when the Work Order is made, that description doesn't show anywhere

Can you use item options? Never tried it to do this before though

We aren't using Matrix items, and I think item options only work with Matrix items.

No - Item options can be applied to items without matrix items

Do I have to enable it somehow? I don't see anything about item options on my item records

The feature is called "Item Options"
and it's enabled under SuiteCloud
And basically what it lets you do is add detail to the items like a "Enter engrave text here"
that can be filled out on the transaction

Ohhh, here I was looking under the "Items & Inventory" tab like some sort of logical thinker lol

what I'm not sure of - is whether those can be pushed automatically to the work order from the sales order
My expectation would be that it does, but I'm not 100% sure
But basically what you do is create a "custom field" effectively for storing this that's associated to the item in much the same way that a matrix item does - but you dynamically choose it on the sales order.

Can confirm - the options DO come over to the Work Order! This should work for us
