@screnshaw it is possible, however both accounts need to be on the same release version. Most likely, your dev account, unless it is a leading account, is a version behind release preview.
s
Yeah, they are on different accounts 😢 What do you mean by a leading account?
s
The developer accounts are either Leading (they are upgraded to the new release earlier than production) or Trailing (they are upgraded to the new release after production)
IF your dev account is on the current version as Production, it is probably Trailing
s
Grrrr. Is there a way to make a sandbox a leading account?
We could never make devloper accounts useful as they were empty.
s
Not exactly. You'd have to export everything using SDF then import it into a Leading account. But at that point, you could just import it straight in the release preview instead.
Full sandboxes, on the other hand are neither leading or trailing. They should generally always match the production version, and are upgraded at about the same time (within a few days or a week)
s
Lol yeah. Guess we may, for ease sake.... bundle it all 🤢🤢🤢
s
But full sandboxes will have the same problem, they will be a version behind release preview.
Yeah, I wish Copy to Account did not artificially impose that limit. Like, just let me try it, okay? If it fails, my bad. But I imagine it would work some of the time.

Agreed. Also I wish I could choose to upgrade my sandbox ahead of schedule

This tool isn't free, but it is useful for validating deployments which can offer some peace of mind when you have to use the bundler. It's also good for showing if/which scripts will exist in the same way in RP and Prod. https://www.strongpoint.io/use-cases-environment-comparison-in-netsuite
