Does anyone know why I might be getting 2-3 email notifications on each of my saved search or calendars events? The emails usually come about 5 minutes apart

Probably your original SS with the emails has been copied and used as other searches. The email settings have gone across also. Do a list of Saved Searches and filter by Email Alerts. Sort by Last Time.
