I am running into G/L errors when I try to convert from non-inventory to inventory items.  <https://772072.app.netsuite.com/app/help/helpcenter.nl?fid=section_n2258046.html|NetSuite Help Center does not mention what to do when these come up>... just that NS should be able to understand if something is transitioning from Non-Inv to Inv with regard to open transactions.  Does anyone know how to work around these errors?

Thank you Abrar! I do follow the instructions in the HelpCenter write up on converting from non-inv to inv and transfer the accounting in the product record to a default inventory COGS account, but still get the error.  I can check with my accounting department if it would be okay to set up another inventory COGS account...though that seems an odd way of doing things.

try to check this on Accounting Preference. Most likely Netsuite is trying to change the account for Item on GL
