Can anyone confirm if it's normal that one cannot view an Invoice that is in Pending Approval state using Customer Center role? Cannot find any relevant SuiteAnswers article.

That would seem to be right to me, but I would definitely test out on a demo account first

That makes sense business process wise, why would a customer bother to see an AR obligation that is still pending, doesn’t make any sense.

Our customer's requirement is to be able to see the invoice even when it's still Pending Approval so that he/she can make comments before it gets approved.

So your customer wanted THEIR customers to be able to see their respective invoices in pending approval status via their customer center? Or are you saying YOUR own customers in your consulting company who have access to YOUR own customer center wanted to see their invoices before YOU send it to them? Either way, the only solution I could think of is to publish a transaction saved search showing pending approval invoices to a custom website tab exposed to the Customer Center role.
But to your original question- customers should not see Pending Approval invoices organically via Customer Center. It’s like saying allowing you as a customer to see your phone bill invoices while your phone company’s accounting team is still in the process of approving it.

I wouldn't use the pending approval status then.
I would make my own custom field for managing approval status

Thanks both, we decided to just use a saved search that would show the amount and email the invoice
