Can Transfer Orders generate Work Orders?
We have 1 location that manufactures product (Warehouse 1) , and 1 location that is just a warehouse (Warehouse 2)
I'm looking to create a Transfer Order that triggers Work Orders to build the Assemblies in Warehouse 1, and then they are transferred to Warehouse 2.
Is this possible?

@ericbirdsall You should look into outsouce manufacturing

it's not exactly the same as what you're describing, but I think it could work. When you receive an outsourced PO, it can build the assembly in location A and automatically transfer the finished product to location B

I will mention that there is a bug (which Netsuite insists is a feature request) where if you do this, the built assembly won't automatically commit to the WO (even though it's a special WO). That part stinks and requires a manual reallocation, but the rest works pretty well.

Hmmm.. so I still wouldn't get Work Orders with a Created From "Transfer Order 12345" then right?

no, but you would get a receipt that references both the TO and the WO
