Anyone with experience with the UPS realtime rate calculator on SO’s?  I can get the rate calculator to match my portal if I ship one item, but if I ship more than one the prices never match.  Is UPS only quoting by weight?  Not by package as well?

I've experienced significant challenges at clients that use real time rates. Sometimes easier to figure out your approximate cost on average and then charge that.

Better customer experience overall, and as long as you keep an eye on revenues vs costs, then it can make it less of an impact on your bottom line

Normally there are issues with multiple packages quoting correctly, and many clients don't have a good handle on their item weights in the item master

Our item weights are dialed in, I’m just having trouble understanding exactly HOW UPS is quoting, like what fields are they querying on the item record etc.  and how that relates to Package sizes and pack rules etc

I think basics are package weight by package. I don't think it takes into account box dimensions
