I have about 50 people who can create POs. Once the POs are created, I want them to email to vendors using the from email address of finance@123.com as opposed to the user's email address. I understand that I can set the from email address on each employee to finance@123.com, but is there another way to achieve this? I can think that a WF will work, but is there a standard way that I'm missing ?

If you're using the approvals process, there's an accounting preference for sending the PO email and its done via a workflow. You can probably modify that workflow to pick the correct email address you want. Otherwise, a custom script/workflow would also work that does it on create.

Hi @creece, so we do not have any approvals for POs at all actually, I guess that cause an issue ?
c
is it already automatically sending an email (but to a different email)?
m
Correct, as soon as the PO is created, it sends the email TO the vendor email address, FROM the user's email. I just want the PO to go from Finance@ across the board. (without setting each individual user's from email on their set preference page)

Is there a workflow on the PO thats sending the email? If so, you can specify the author (which needs to be an employee):
m
No workflows at all on POs whatsoever @creece, as soon as the PO is created, an email with sent to the supplier.
