Looking for the best way to add permissions to a new custom record. I'd love it if I get could set a "Default" permission for it and then assign higher permissions for specific roles but that doesn't seem the case. We have like 40 roles and I'd hate to have to assign them 1 by 1.

Thanks Sam. Yeah understood but I still would have to add permissions per role one by one which is what I’m trying to avoid.

try using CSV import to update those permission fields - might be possible haven't tried it though
