Hi All, There is a committed line item field on sales order. Can anyone explain how it works. Thank you

When the inventory location is selected, the inventory is committed to that order. There are additional things you can do, such as change the commitment priority or commit inventory to orders in mass, but per sales order - use the inventory location drop down to commit available inventory from that location to that order.

It affects the inventory of the item as well. When sold but not shipped, committed items lower the "Available" count for that location's inventory, but not the "On Hand". Once it ships, "On Hand" is lowered to match.
Most of my inventory searches for rapid views use "Available" for this reason so our people don't double-sell inventory that's already committed.

Mark makes a good point. “On Hand” is how many you have in inventory. “Available” is the quantity not committed to other orders and therefore can be sold. On Hand - Committed = Available.

Can a saved search email be set up to use the record’s creator as the from field instead of the search owner?
