I'm trying to fullfill kits but get an error:
The kit definition has been changed. Please use the Update Orders Kit Members with Current Kit Members Mass Update in order to Fulfill this Order
k
Try doing your update and not checking the first row.
mass updates often fail at the first record failure and stop proceeding
not always, but enough.

Unfortunately not enough this time. What does the error mean? How can I fix it manually? I updated the kit this morning but its complaining even on new sales orders.
k
Probably a defect you'll have to call NS about.
if it's happening on new sales orders.
a
Wonderful.
k
I'd probably be tempted to change my kit members - and then change it again back to what you have it now - and then perform the update.
That said, it's possible it'd make your situation worse.

We get this error all the time and it’s infuriating This is what I’ve found: Kit Item is created Kit added as a line item to an SO Someone changes the BOM on the Kit (However NS still remembers the original BOM for kits already existing on SOs) Create a wave to pick items Picker completes wave NetSuite tries to post Item Fulfillment but recognizes the BOM “stored” with the SO doesn’t match the new BOM We’ve started running that Custom Mass Update every night for all SOs that contain Kits. It’s helped a little but still not great
a
Do you know why that mass update would be failing me?
a
No but try and do an import to those same transactions. Try to update some unused not s field or something. See if you get errors when doing a csv import to those same records
