How does one setup a role or employee to choose from multiple PO approvers? We have someone who does the POs for others and needs flexibility to choose the approver.

We have a Requested by field on our PO. Whichever employee is entered there is the approver rule that gets followed (vs whoever entered the PO).

I have this field under intercompany management. Is this what you mean?

Ours is set up a little differently (don't have intercompany) but seems like it could be. You could check the Field Help box to see the description. Ours says this & we have it marked as a mandatory field.

The requested by field covers everything for us and we don't use this. Do you have a Workflow set for POs? Sounds like if you do, it will automatically show who it's lined up to be sent for approval to, and can be overridden if needed.

Yes. it does. I just wondered about the part whjere it says I can select my approver. Maybe if there is a larger approval chain, more approvers are available.
