My Transfer Order item fulfillments and item receipts are using “inventory in transit” account on the GL. Is there a way to set it to a different account?

Why would you need it to? you inventory goes to in transit - and then comes out of it. If you don't like the name of the account - you can always rename/renumber it.

I mean is the account supposed to change after receipt?

No. When you do your fulfillment it should debit the account then when you receive it it should credit it.

So the dollar amount still sits in the “in transit” account. It shouls be zero after all is complete, right?

Assuming there are no other transfer orders in progress - yes. Or that someone doesn't do something to force them to be received at a different amount.

And that you receive all quantities you ship

OK. I think they can work it out based on this information. Thank you for clarifying this.

Thanks so much! Now I see. The in-transit is in the negative and the Finished Goods has the same totals and item receipt records in the positive, so zero.
