Why does NetSuite debit Accumulated Depreciation when generating the Lease Interest JE for operating lease? Debit: Accumulated Depreciation Credit: Lease Liability Shouldn't it be expense?

Thanks. When I got the net GL impact of the lease interest, depreciation and lease payment, it seems to be correct then. Is it right that it is NS standard behavior to use the total interest as negative residual value to come up with the correct expense through depreciation (for operating lease)?
