We have a custom record type 'Quality' which is enable as a custom subtab on the item receipt by third party long back. However, This links to the custom record and works as expected. However, I am asked to enable this subtab for the work orders as well. I went ahead and checked on the 'Customise' menu of the WO form to add the 'Quality' subtab on it. However, the tab does not show on any existing or new work order. Do I need to check something else as well to get this tab visible on the other (work order) form? Thanks in advance

There should be a field on your "Quality" which holds the reference of work order, you might already have a field related to item receipt. That field should be set as 'record as parent' checked. Check the field on your quality record if there is one. You might need to add another field, if required.
