Is there any way to "allocate" backordered sales order items to incoming PO shipments?

Also interested in this... people in the org always ask what PO "belongs" to the backordered items, but we fulfill SO to clientes and TO to other warehouses wich in turn fulfill to clientes, etc... it's complex to answer

The only way I know is creating a Special Purchase Order… it create a Purchase Order linked to a Sales Order. If it’s not the case, the products will be committed to orders when received by order priority

We're currently using the Supply Allocation feature. Our use case is kinda similar to yours.

Thank you all. We did not have Supply Allocation turned on and are looking at that now.
