Customer EFT Payments using Coastal can now supposedly be connected to a Payment Instrument type since 2021.1. This is what’s indicated in the release notes. I’m struggling to get this to work though. I create the ACH Pay Instrument from the Customer, then the Customer Payment and then I need to select this Payment Instrument as a Payment Option but it then asks for a Payment Processing Profile and it’s not possible to select Coastal.
I have the impression that the only way to initiate Coastal is by selecting EFT as the Payment Option on the Customer Payment which then sources from the EFT sublist on the customer record. Does anyone know if this is the case? Perhaps the real switch to Payment Instruments will occur in a future release.
