This is a weird one. On one of my clients’ Netsuite account, when I try to find a customer on a sales order, it only lets me select from a list. Normally in other Netsuite accounts, I can type the customer’s name. This one won’t let me. Is it a setting?

Where are you searching? A saved search field filter? Or a search form?

No. I’m on a new sales order and I wanted to type the customer name, but it only let’s me choose from a list, an unordered one too. That’s no good.

Do they have many customers? There's a preference in your settings to how long dropdowns are.

They just started on Netsuite. Where is that setting please?

Home - Set Preferences - General - checkbox for "Type-ahead on list fields" should be selected See if that's the issue?

👍 Beware that these are settings specific to your login only, so this might need to be repeated for other users.

I just set the Setup >> Company >> General Preferences to use only 25 rows also. All good!
