When our operators are typing sales orders in very quickly, if they start typing the qty too early, NS will prepend whatever they typed with a 1. this leads to erros where the customer ordered 48 but NS ends up with 148. Anyone else seeing this? I'm getting no joy from our support channels

If they can type that fast is the data already in excel?
Also, seems like a pretty simple training exercise to have people validate what they enter

I tried to replicate and not been able to so do. Looks like Qty columns value gets highlighted once you move into it so if they just key in numbers that should overwrite that '1' unless they press right arrow before I can't see how's that possible.

Oh, I've definitely seen it before- but I had to try really hard to get it to happen.

We are currently trying to investigate if there is some script that slows down the UI, as this happens quire frequently for us
@KevinJ of Kansas thanks for the suggestion - of course we have trained staff to double check etc. but honestly, when you are typing quickly do you double check to see if the computer inserted random extra characters as you type? NetSuite is supposed to improved our lives and make our work faster and more efficient. I cannot accept that asking users to go slower and check the computer has not made an error of what they already correctly typed is a suitable solution.

Could you throw another column that requires setting between item and quantity? Might reduce the pain
j
interesting idea, Ill give that a go
I will also add that it only happens infrequently, so users are less likely to keep checking for it. my users usually type a full product code, then press tab to get to the qty field. rather than say, typing a few characters of the item being entered, then selecting from the search and then moving to the qty field

Also, how many sourced columns and non stored value do you have in there? Can any be set after the fact via scheduled workflow or script instead?
