There are basically two versions of Edge (thanks for the confusion Microsoft): older versions that use their own EdgeHTML rendering engine, and newer versions that are based on Chromium, so it’s basically just a Microsoft-branded Chrome browser. Even Microsoft abandoned EdgeHTML, so I’m not surprised they don’t want to support it.
