is there a way to hit the COGS account of the line item on an inventory adjustment...instead of the inventory adjustment records adjustment account.

I don't believe so, the whole adjustment hits the account you pick at the top. There is no account at the line level.

so we would just have to use a JE if we want to change the amount of the cogs accounts for line levels?

oh put them on different adjustments

if not, in order to get a better understanding of our cogs accounts im assuming the only way would be to use Journal Entries?
