Is there any other way to show the open orders, AR balance and inventory value as of the end of each month through saved searches aside from using the system notes?

For a similar requirement I have an end of day snapshot of various values which populate to a reporting custom record. I actually grab about 20 values from their various transactions, phone calls, inventory, cases. The custom report allows us to report from the different areas on the one Saved Search.

Also, KPI scorecards can be useful for presenting your time series.

Just want to be clear with my requirements, for example, I have a new USD 100 sales order in January that was billed in March, I need to be able to show that sales order as open in January and February periods.

I can't rely on the status field itself because it will remove it entirely from the report even in January and February. System notes seems to be the way to go but I feel like it's a bit complicated for me and there might be a better and easier solution that I am not aware of.

Why do you have to have this in a saved search?
