Has anyone set up parts and assemblies where the part number or assembly number are both manufactured and purchased? Is this possible in NetSuite?

There is a configuration where you can buy assembly item on purchase orders. You should be able to build and buy the same assembly items at that point.

Yes I think it’s under setup > accounting preferences It’s called allow purchase of assembly items
