Hello experts! I have a Lot Numbered Assembly and I want to enable the “Mark Sub-Assemblies Phantom” in the Item Attributes. The item components have nested Sub-Assemblies and Inventory Items which are also Lot Numbered. If I open a Work Order for this top-level assembly, how does NetSuite know what Lot to pull the materials from? Or, when does the user choose which Lot of which material to issue to the Work Order? @Chris Forgione 1. if you set your picking preferences to FIFO, FEFO, or receipt date the system will choose lot by the received date in the order designated. 2. depending on if you have NS WMS, rf smart, or perhaps advanced manufacturing you can direct production staging pick tasks in the same manner. there are several ways to automate fully or not at all this process. the purpose being to eliminate the need for a material handler to choose a lot number.
