What determines if a field value is copied over when a sales order is transformed into an invoice? I have a field where the value is not copying over and I cannot figure out why that is.

What field is it? is it a custom transaction field?

yes. custom field. i have other custom fields that are set up the same and those values copy over but I have 2 that do not.

Do you have store value checked?

Yes.
