Another Q: Anyone have an elegant solution for handling/somewhat automating partial refunds against line items on Sales Order transactions and then keeping track of a new returnable price for that item in the case it gets returned after-the-fact?

Blunt question: is it really saving you that much money to do partial refunds instead of complete refunds?

This sounds like an overhead nightmare.

@KevinJ of Kansas it is a valid question for things like item price drops and whatnot but what about partial refunds for shipping delays?

Ok - lets say you give someone a partial refund, and then they decide to return the item later - is one time of that happening worth X dollars to find a way to prevent it? is 20? I'd rather give up $20 10 times than spend $5000 trying to prevent it...

Fair, but it gets messy if we can't keep track of a returnable price and a return is failing because we are attempting to over-refund.
