Is there a way to remove the shipping information in credit memo forms?

Yes. You could customize the form and uncheck the fields you don’t want to show. If you mean printed forms, then you can edit the template and remove the shipping information.

I mean can we remove that altogther? The workaround I thought was to set the cost to zero upon mapping, but maybe there's a cleaner way to do it?

Still not sure what you want the result to be.

Our client doesn't use shipping costs for their credit memos so they want to remove that altogether or default the cost to zero

So when you do a credit memo, the shipping cost is removed and adjusts the total minus shipping….right?

basically they want it to just reflect the total cost without shipping

Oh. You could do a workflow to set that credit memo shipping cost to zero then. It would set it when the credit memo opens on creation.

OK then. That’s how I would go about it then.
