Anybody out there a matrix child CSV import wizard? I’ve been able to figure out most of it, but the one thing I don’t get is how to get field data on the parent to “sync” to the new child upon creation. When I add a matrix child item through the NetSuite UI, the data in the custom fields I have set on the parent show up on the child, but when I do an import, it doesn’t. I know I could just export all the fields from the parent and include them in the import, but we have a metric assload of custom fields and they’re all different from item to item.

Did you fill in the parent field on the child records in your CSV import file?

@Eric B Yeah. And I made sure to set the matrix type to Matrix Child Item

When you synch the child records to the parent it runs a mass update on the selected child records when you use the UI. Find the mass update and trigger that as a separate step after you import child records via CSV.
