Hello, we are trying to utilize the native bank reconciliation functionality in NetSuite. Do we have to reconcile the bank account up until the point we are ready to check the option, USE MATCH BANK DATA AND RECONCILE ACCOUNT STATEMENT PAGES, on the account page?

I don’t think so. I’ve had customers where they have toggled that setting on/off without consequences

we have been able to get our historical transactions that have not been reconciled on the Reconcile Account Statement page when that box is checked on the account. we have to uncheck the box on the account and use the Reconcile Bank Statement to see our unreconciled accounts

It would never be possible to have everything reconciled in order to switch. Look closer in the new method as it is possible.

ok. we would like to get the reconciliation caught up to where we start matching the transactions.

Do you have bank files for the unreconciled periods? Or better still can you just switch to bank feeds?

it would require us to load over 3 years of bank files. we have been on Nolan and are looking to utilize the native bank rec functionality

Are you migrating unreconciled transactions from a previous system?

no. we have been live on NetSuite but have always used nolan to reconcile

Ok got it. Back to the original question. You can switch/I switch to “USE BANK DATA...” but you are still going to have to do the 3 years of reconciliation in some way.
