12/18/2020, 4:24 PMLogistics question. If we need to just send some sample products to a prospective buyer with no sales transactions, what’s the best way to do this in Netsuite? We need to send some kind of Netsuite file to our logistics company so they can pull the inventory and ship.

12/18/2020, 4:40 PMI create a sample location and create a transfer order to send samples to that location. I recommend scheduled clear outs of this location to subtract any samples there and you'd be able to see the cost of samples

12/18/2020, 4:53 PMthat becomes a question for your accounting department. Generally, they won't like that. Moving it a different location is cleaner, or simply making an inventory adjustment as the transaction for samples

12/18/2020, 8:56 PMA similar method we use is an SO, then fulfillment which gives documentation (and inventory cost). Then close the SO.
