general question on renewal. We’ve just bee told we’ll get a big price hike this year as we’ve gone over 100 users. Looking online that doesnt seem right, the next tier up from mid-tier is for 1000+ users. Anyone know about this?
p
It also depends on your transaction volume
I can see why you're getting confused. I think Standard is up to 100 users, then Premium is 101-1000 users
m
ah. Bugger.
p
That's how I've read it anyway
m
do you have a link to that?
p
go to the help and search for NetSuite Service Tiers
m
ah gotcha, i see it now.
do you know if there’s a way of seeing a breakdown for our instance on how many transactions we run, and activity per user?
s
the tier criteria is transaction lines per month, just run a saved search on transactions, count of lines and group by month
m
Looked at the billed transactions, we’re used 8610 this month from a limit of 200k
So I ran a saved search on transactions to date, count by Line ID. It came out at 83,000 for the year to date
k
why do you have so many users with that few transactions?
m
Your guess is as good as mine!
still relatively new to the organisation/NetSuite
we’ve got users, 6 in IT alone who raise their own purchase orders but raise maybe one every 2 weeks each
is each purchase order one transaction line?
k
if they order a single line PO - and it was received and billed in the same month, you'd be looking at a next impact of 6 transaction lines for that (2 for each transaction)
Given the substantial price increase of going up tiers - if you can eliminate unnecessary users and get yourself below the threshold, its probably worth some organizational change.
m
Off hand do you know what sort of price increase we’re looking at ?
Agree though there’s no way it’s cost effective this way
k
I do not know offhand - and it'll be different for almost every NS customer anyways.
m
ah ok, no worries.
k
It's not cheap.
That I can assure you
