Hello, does anyone here have experience with a Netsuite setup with a very large amount of subsidiaries? I'm talking about 500+ subsidiaries. Any limitations? Bottlenecks?

500 + wow maximum I’ve done is around 75 few years back and that time netsuite had 125 limit. How many users you’ll have for these 500+ subsidiaries also what is the count of country and currency combinations.

I don't think the country+currency combination would be an issue. It's for a Real Estate company where each property is it's own subsidiary.

So each real estate is a legal entity that’s why you need them as separate Subsidiaries. Well if I’m not wrong no limit on subsidiaries exits anymore but I would use 500 subsidiaries in same i sty only if netsuite was used as a downstream system only or data inbound or outbound was by integrations.

What does your hierarchy look like? Are these all on the same "level" or one or two levels down? Or are they like 9 & 10 levels deep? I dealt with an instance with about 200 once and the problem we ran into is that the display fields for subsidiary were not nearly large enough (for sub fields that show the entire hierarchy) and it was sometimes difficult to see which sub was selected when the one you were working with was 8 levels deep.
Also, are they similarly named? I think the one I dealt with, a lot of the subs were similarly named, so it was sometimes a pain to choose the right one, even when searching since in some cases, the search brings up the whole hierarchy, but truncated, so you couldn't always see the "end" sub. This was 5+ years ago though now, so hopefully that has been fixed.

I would steer clear of having that many subsidiaries. I would potentially look at leveraging a custom segment or the class/department field for the physical subsidiary name. I have been in an account that has 250 subsidiaries and things just somewhat lagged.
