I have a field that is a hyperlink and is shown in subtab. In view mode the link is clickable but in edit mode it is not (it shows the entire url). Is here a way to make the url in edit mode clickable?

Change the display type of the field to Inline Text. (Though you won’t be able to edit the link from the UI if you do this)
