hi all. My company is a wholesaler/distributor and our customer base is typically larger retailers. Our biggest obstacle with these customers is the many different methods of routing/shipping they require making it extremely difficult to manage and monitor all the outgoing orders. Curious to see if anyone has any insight on how to manage this within netsuite. open to 3rd party integration options as well. Thanks!

If you’re trying to map those many types of shipping methods (standard, express, expedited, etc…) you can create a custom record and map the actual shipping method codes you have in NS to the corresponding shipping methods for each retailer. Essentially for each custom record you’d map vendor id, shipmethod, carrier shipmethod.

@Eric B - im not referring as much to the "ship method" but more so these larger customers all have their own TMS/routing portals that require all different info, dates in which routing is submitted, etc. One customer may require us to submit a routing, then we wait for them to assign a carrier and then we need to contact the carrier to schedule pickup. Another may require us to route the order and then we have to wait for a carrier to contact us when they are ready to pickup. Another customer requires us to get shipping rates and bill them for the shipping. Just a million different requirement for each customer so it feels impossible to standardize and manage.
