Is there a way to specify if an item goes into inventory vs general overhead expense? So we buy tools for customers, but also buy the same tools to use in our service department. We'd like to just have one tool/item in NS, but be able to specify on a PO that it is for in house vs for sale, and have it hit the correct expense accounts in both situations. Any guidance?

I believe you could create two inventory locations in Netsuite for the one item and then specify that location on the PO for where it goes. If you are dividing the purchase into those locations, you could use two line items on the PO with each location.
