Short version of how I'd set it up - sublist action group in state 1 checks a checkbox on the line and the header if item has checkbox and checkbox on line isn't checked. Then transition to state 2 which sends the email and unchecks the header of "to be sent"

hey @KevinJ of Kansas I got the workflow to work and it sends the email, but when I try setting a specific sender, it doesn't work.. any ideas?

is the sender an employee?

yeah

are they marked inactive?

no

do they have an email address in the email box?

yes
