I created a saved search alert to email when new records for the search are created, but the emails aren't sending?

What type of search is it?

transaction search for when a certain item is pulled

Did you create a new transaction?

Yes, created a new transaction with that item to test the email
but nothing is sent
the transaction shows up in the saved search report though

This is why I use workflows for alerts over saved search email alerts.
Troubleshooting that is a giant disaster.

Ultimately @KevinJ of Kansas is right… the easiest solution is to move to workflow for this.

@AK if you figure this out, I'd love to learn too. A few months back, I asked a similar question about saved transaction search email alerts. In my case the email would trigger, but only about half of the time and for no clear reason that I could uncover. Very odd. I think it was Kevin who suggested then also to use a workflow instead, I just haven't had the time to spend time on it.

Anything set in "updated fields"? There's a Suiteanswer which alludes to emails not sending if these are set (13341)

@Dominic B appreciate the input! sadly it was already empty, so no luck there.
@Justin B ended up creating a saved search and workflow. the workflow simply triggers through the saved search record creation. I was having issues, but it finally works 100%. let me know if you have any questions or issues
