Hi all, does anyone know how to use a dynamic group as a saved search criteria please? (For background info we are trying to exclude a dynamic group from transaction and supplier saved searches because for our supplier payments we don't want to include any suppliers that have journals on their account so we have created a dynamic group that contains them) thanks for any help in advance 🙂

@EB dynamic groups are already based on saved searches. You need adjust your saved search that feeds that dynamic group so that the criteria includes/excludes the desired members.

Hi James,
Thanks so much for getting back to me. We have created the dynamic group that excludes any suppliers with any unapplied journals and their balance is over 0. However we were wondering if we could use this dynamic group as a filter/criteria for another saved search? For example we then run our supplier batch payment process and have a few saved searches showing any suppliers of a certain category that have an amount outstanding, but we then want to ensure to exclude anyone in that dynamic group from appearing in the results? I hope i am making this clear

@EB Natively, not really. Basically you have to put ALL the criteria in whatever saved search you need to output, you can't use another one as the input or criteria for a different one. Marty Zigman had some article a while back on how to maybe do this, but I didn't read/explore it (https://blog.prolecto.com/2020/04/18/join-multiple-netsuite-saved-searches-to-build-data-universe/). The other alternative is to explore the new reporting feature SuiteAnalytics Workbook. No single-join limitation, and maybe can kinda do what you're asking with different datasets, but there are some other features (like being able to export summaries/pivots) that are still not really ready for prime-time IMHO.

@James Morris thanks so much for this I really appreciate it, I will look into this blog post and re-evaluate what we can do!
