I know there is a 10 script limit for Client Scripts per record but is there a limit for User Event scripts as well?
s
I didnt know there was a 10 script limit on clients. What happens when you try to add an 11th?
r
The 11th wont execute. As far as I know, there is no limit on the UE side.
s
But there is nothing in the UI that would indicate it won't trigger I assume?
r
No but if you edit a scripted record page, they have this disclaimer: You can specify the order in which global client scripts are executed for this scripted record. However, for performance reasons only the first 10 deployed scripts will be executed.
p
yup. i found out the hard way about this when I could not figure out why my new script wouldn't fire. spent hours until someone here posted about the 10 script limit.

and reading the fine print on user script i see that netsuite recommends not having more than 10 scripts but all will work.
b
your performance will be terrible with 10 user event scripts
p
yup. i am at 10 now but 2 are the drag and drop, 2 for the sticky notes and 1 for Box. Then 5 for our own custom use.
k
File drag and drop and sticky notes aren't exactly super great processes
c
F file drag and drop. It even gets worse if you open the console. It does a shitload of console logs which slows it down even more.
they really need to update that app
p
im trying to convince management to switch over to extendtech.
c
I mean if you need drag and drop you need it. I get it. It just slows down loading of the pages severely and it doesn't need to.
k
I just don't understand why anyone would need it... *shrug
p
well, we have users that need to attach 5-10 documents at a time.
j
Sticky Notes spams the console log so badly too, I HATE IT
