its a bit misleading they just let you use your account up until they refresh rather than locking it

I'm still waiting on a sandbox refresh after 2+ weeks of downtime 😕. A move to production would be great

Verified with support that # 1 is not official yet and they don't have any date when that's going to be done. # 2 is done in 2017.1 release.

I didn't but from what I gathered from the description it was using scripts that run as admin
