is anyone using the Advanced Manufacturing bundle from Netsuite?

We are in process of getting the demo and eventually use it hopefully if it meets all the needs

okay, we have been using it for 3 years now and still have trouble with scheduling our production and actually looking for another scheduler to integrate with netsuite. the one we are leaning towards is actually a company netsuite contacted last year to do business with. wich seem to us like they are aware that the AM bundle is lacking and without intention to fix it.

this comes down to how our work order structure looks like. if we had a very flat structure like selling assemblies that only had 1 level of work orders (+ maybe 1 phantom work order) then it would not be a problem. but we need a more deep structure (work orders started from work orders)

Our boms are not flat but they use sub assemblies so few things are ready but there are multiple routing steps involved, it varies from 2 to 10 routing steps

Different Question for you how do you print the manufacturing routing steps on the bom? Or to give your team hey you need to build this and these are the steps

I am trying to do a transaction search on a WO and trying to pull through "quantity scrapped" and I am unable to find that anywhere....Anyone have any ideas?

Is there any way to use mass build work orders on a custom form that has additional required fields?

Try searching for "is scrap line" or something like that

and it should be the quantity on that line

It's probably on the assembly build and not the work order

so you'll have to do a search on assembly builds - and join to the work order

Anyone uses standard costing? With different unit of measurement for purchase/stock/consumption ?How do you roll your planned standard cost? In my account it looks like unit of measure is ignored, contacted NS Support but they are no help!! 🙁

Instead of 0.29 the standard cost shows 99.214 and support is saying it’s because one of subassembly has 20,000 as standard cost but I cannot find which one they are referring to

Anyone know how NS works for cross location manufacturing for planning? For example a Finished Good is built in Location A, and Sub Assemblies are built in B/C. So when I plan to build inventory in as a forecast, would there be a solution in NS to forecast raw goods demands in Locations B & C from Finished Goods shipped from Location A?

On the communication Tab on the item record, I am trying to attach the file, and I am getting this error, that says "Only PDF files can be printed with BOM but when I told that to my quality department they said they have traveler,router, work instructions, quality plans, drawing, specifications, pictures etc. in different formats, they would like to attach it to the BOM and printed with it to give it to production team. NS Support said this is an enhancement, has anyone faced this issue before?

Is anyone using demand planning to spin off work orders and purchase orders for assembly items? Anyone have issues with this? When manually creating demand plans to generate a supply plan it will give me a PO / WO for the top level item but not for component items, raw materials.

In advanced manufacturing, what is the best way to allocate overhead and stuff like utilities by UNIT produced. We use Advanced Manufacturing and WIP. I can add i to the BOM but then the warehouse has to "Issue it". I can add it to the routing but there's not a clear way to make it so that it adds a X amount per unit built. It's either fixed per run or by run rate.

Hi, is anyone familiar with BOM control methods? I want to assign obsolete dates on some items so they can no longer be used in future assembly builds. I read multiple BOM control SA articles, which all explain the following method: 1. Go to Lists > Accounting > Items. 2. Click Edit next to the assembly item record you want to set. 3. On the Purchasing/Inventory subtab, in the Effective BOM Control list, select Revision Control. My problem is that I cannot see the Effective BOM Control field on the form, even though the field is checked to be visible when I customized the assembly item form. Any advice? Thanks!
