I'm creating a custom packing list accessed from a Shipment Tracking record that sources both the IF and SO records which inform the Shipment Tracking record, maybe I can grab the descriptions from the SO record somehow

@Sam-I-Am His role has create permissions. Is there any way to change this on the saved search without opening up his role to full permissions on publish search?

as far as I know publish gives permission to edit existing public searches.

Can you override the role permissions with employee permissions?

Non Posting Discounts reduce item income so the application of the schedule would be on the item not the discount.

heres a note on the help section about Discount Items (maybe you should read this section too) Note You should always use non-posting discount items with items on sales transactions that have an associated revenue recognition template. This ensures that the net amount of the invoice is amortized and the discount posts to your ledger properly.

and lastly:

Revenue recognition templates are used to generate revenue recognition schedules for items sold, based on the association of templates with items. You can associate a revenue recognition template with the following item types: Assembly Serialized Assembly Lot Numbered Assembly Kit/Package Inventory Serialized Inventory Lot Numbered Inventory Non-Inventory for Sale/Resale Other Charge for Sale/Resale Service for Sale/Resale

@Sam-I-Am @S Feld It was the "Public" checkbox. If a search is public, you can't edit unless you're admin, but you CAN send out email alerts. If it's not public, you can edit w/o admin, but you CAN'T send email alerts. This according to description on the public checkbox. #bugorfeature

I feel like we have always struggled to create a saved search that if we pull all transactions for a certain GL account and want to see what the other side of that entry was. So for example if I pulled everything for our Bank Account GL, I want to see what of those hit our accounts payable GL account and which ones hit our Advances GL account. Is this something we are just overlooking and should be an easy pull with a saved search?

@Noel everyone has this problem...I havent checked the Suiteanalytic Workbooks for a solution to this but it may be available there...My ideal would be to search the Debit and Credit Accounts or simply Contains for the Transaction
