Posting salary costs by employee We forecast salaries by person in another system, but I can't currently post actuals by employee as I don't want every user who can run a TB to be able to see them. I'm thinking if we did a custom transaction with employee on it, that had a contra line that had a blank employee, I could separately control access to and export this record to our forecasting system. So the "normal" (standard journal) payroll transaction would be:

Account    Department    Amount  
Salaries    Sales           10000
Salaries    Finance          6000
Salaries    Tech             8000
Tax         (blank)        -10000
Net pay     (blank)        -14000

And the custom transaction would be:

Account    Department    Amount    Employee

If you had a mismatch, e.g. if the salaries for tech by person was $7000, you would still have a balanced report but there would be $1000 left over that went to an unknown employee. Has anyone else had this requirement? Is there a simpler way to achieve what I want (maybe a custom segment?) I want to have good testing coverage on this - I don't want to have some small section or report of Netsuite where the information can creep in which is why I'm thinking custom transactions might be the safer path

Is it possible to select specific roles on a center tab that its center is set to all? When selecting that center the audience box appears empty, without any role in it. I just want to hide this center to just two specific roles

we're encountering an issue with sales order entry where if the operator types the qty too quickly after selecting the item, NS inserts a 1 in the qty field in front of the number the operator typed, leading to situations where the order was for 4 items but netsuite ends up recording 14

anyone had this issue?

I have a saved search that has criteria limiting it to a set of specific vendors using the "Name" field. But if I put a filter over the "Name" field, I get every name in the system. How can I have a filter that works on the vendors in the criteria only?

Anyone have experience reclassifying transactions via an allocation schedule? This is the case - a client has several employees currently associated w/ the wrong class. They want to reclass all transactions related to these employees for the past couple years. I’m debating whether to have them book a JE vs. using an allocation schedule.
