I can't speak from experience yet Bert. However I've seen one guy transition from consultant to CTO, I've seen others move into controller roles, and I've seen some go into accounting or IT roles.

My plan is to do the functional consultant thing a while (at least another 5 years) and learn as much as I can, and eventually get a position as more IT or operations leadership role (while I am decent at accounting I never want to have to touch bank recs on a monthly basis or make financing decisions) . I imagine the opportunities available to you will depend on your skill sets and how much you pick up on the non NetSuite stuff when working with clients who have integrations.

Anyone else finding field level help has gone screwy?

Click on a field name and a funky error pops up instead. Hit back and it will close the window (annoying)

has anyone used a workflow to essentially configure auto generating numbers for items?

That's probably script but you could probably torture a workflow to the point it would work

Maybe something like a saved search field that returns item count and then sets that as the name

But you might not be able to do that

take the first three digits of the supplier number and then auto generate the next three digits was my thought while still somehow dealing with duplicates. a bit surprised it’s not built in

Has anyone used Celigo's integrator.io Flow Builder? I am working with it now for the first time, but am struggling to figure out how to update the source records to mark them as processed (so they aren't picked up a second time). Does anyone know how to do that, or if there is a good documentation source somewhere?

Is there an open bulletin or SA article about the field level help error? Really a pain as it's stopping me getting IDs without jumping over to the schema browser 😕

I just noticed this now on the native NetSuite fields. The help does not error on our custom fields.

i've reported it to netsuite (this morning), but they haven't responded yet. i can post a defect # once i hear back.

We're having the same issue, plus searching the Help Center is down also.

Something must be seriously wrong in NetSuite for this kind of stuff to just happen like this...

If they're doing some internal changes, surely they'd have testers checking every step of the way? No idea

It's so cute that you think field level help going down is a big deal. Trust me, they've broken way more important stuff for way longer. Hotfixes occur every week with little/no visibility to us as users of the service.

Might be imagining things here, but I'm fairly sure less of these random glitches happened back in the pre-oracle days. Dunno.
